Weekends big games in college and professional football

October 2nd 2010 02:15
Florida at Alabama

The top ranked Crimson Tide should roll in this possible prelude to the SEC title game later on in the season. Florida at this point with a newbie John Brantley in the quarterback position are not in a position to really compete after the third quarter. Look for a blowout.

Stanford at Oregon

This game will go down to the wire, and me being an avid supporter of everything anti-Oregon hope for an Cardnial win. Though, my gut says Oregon has too much speed for Stanford to "outscore" the ducks. I wish for an Stanford win, and look for this game to be the game of the day, but for Oregon to pull it out.

Texas at Oklahoma

Oklahoma will win a close and low scoring game in Norman. Both teams are breaking in somewhat new quarterbacks, and have not been playing up to par, with Texas losing at home to UCLA, and Oklahoma struggling ever since dominating Florida State. The Sooners will win, by a close margin.

Two big ten clashes: Wisconsin at Michigan State and Penn St at Iowa

I really have a feeling Michigan State will win in East Lansing over Wisconsin. Both teams are unbeaten at 4-0, and very evenly matched. The x-factor is Mark Dantonio returning after a week off due to his minor heart-attack he suffered later on after defeating Notre Dame. Michigan State will ride this emotional factor to a win.
Iowa will win versus Penn State due to their overall team strength factor, and veteran play from their offense, and quarterback Ricky Stanzi.

Arizona State at Oregon State

The Beavers will win this game, it will be a good test for the young Ryan Katz, Oregon State's quarterback on the toughness of the Pac-10, but after facing two top five teams in Boise State and TCU, Katz is ready for this demand. With or without James Rodgers who suffered a concussion versus Boise, the Beavers will win.

NFL games

Baltimore at Pittsburgh- Pittsburgh in a squeaker.

San Francisco at Atlanta- Falcons in a laugher

NY Jets at Buffalo- Jets in a decent game

Carolina at New Orleans- Saints dominate

Denver at Tennessee- Titans victory

Seattle at St.Louis- good game with Seattle winning

Cincinnati at Cleveland- The Bengals win close

Detroit at Green Bay- Packers come back after losing tough game vs Bears

Indianapolis at Jacksonville- The Colts dominate

Houston at Oakland- Texans win

Arizona at San Diego- Chargers win with ease

Washington at Philadelphia- The Eagles win in Donovans return

Chicago at NY Giants- Giants continue to tumble as the Bears win.
