Week 9 in the NFL

November 4th 2011 23:08
Miami at Kansas City: Can the Dolphins get a win this week? The Chiefs are surging after a 0-3 start and are now in a tie with San Diego for first in the AFC West. It starts with Matt Cassel
Kansas City and Matt Cassel will hand the Dolphins another loss on Sunday
making better decisions and the team learning ways to win without Jamaal Charles. Chiefs roll after a close 1st half.

Atlanta at Indianapolis: The Falcons will win here and hand the Colts an 0-9 record. Atlanta has too much talent to lose here, this Colts club is really struggling after showing some glimpses of getting a win, they have fallen flat the last two weeks.

Tampa Bay at New Orleans: Drew Brees and the Saints wake up and get the win here, handing the Buccaneers their fourth loss in eight games. Missing Jonathan Vilma, he is doubtful will hurt the Saints defense but they should be able to get the victory still.

NY Jets at Buffalo: One of the better games of the week, there is a number of good ones. A battle for New York bragging rights, the Bills defense continues to make a mockery of opposing quarterbacks. Mark Sanchez has been letting teams make a mockery of him. Here's another team which will do the same, Buffalo wins.

Seattle at Dallas: The Seahawks are falling fast. Dallas wins with ease here. Tony Romo has a coming out party in the win. Seattle head coach Pete Carroll has to be crazy for wanting to have Tavaris Jackson as the starting quarterback.

Cleveland at Houston: Matt Schaub is the key here. The Texans are the better team on both sides of the ball, but the Browns have a tendency to stick around games. If Schaub can get the Texans going despite missing Andre Johnson, then they will win with ease. Texans win either way.

San Francisco at Washington: The Redskins after a good start this year are also fading fast. San Francisco on the other hand is looking like a sure bet to win the NFC West and maybe get a first round bye. Jim Harbaugh has this team believing. The 49ers win again.

Cincinnati at Tennessee: Both of these teams have winning records! Crazy who would of thought? The Bengals win here and move to 6-2 as they have the better defense and an opportunistic offense which will get the job done.

Denver at Oakland: Carson Palmer will get going against one of the leagues worst defenses here as the Raiders win. Darren McFadden returning would be icing on the cake.

NY Giants at New England: The Patriots are the better team as Eli Manning is sure to find a way to help the host team get the win. Ahmad Bradshaw's absence hurts the Giants rushing game.

St. Louis at Arizona: The dud game of the week, two 1-6 teams. St. Louis is showing glimpses of returning to a half-way decent team while the Cardinals have lost six straight. The Rams win, as John Skelton struggles for Arizona.

Green Bay at San Diego: San Diego should play better then last week's Monday night loss to Kansas City. Philip Rivers's blunder at the end of the game was a terrible way to lose a game they should of won. Green Bay stays unbeaten, though I really want to give the Chargers the win. A push game here.

Baltimore at Pittsburgh: The Ravens have been so wildly inconsistent this season it is hard to know what team shows up. Though they should get up for Pittsburgh. I still feel the Steelers win here and even up their season series after an early season loss to Baltimore. Ben Roethlisberger outshines Joe Flacco here.

Chicago at Philadelphia: Chicago will need to get after Michael Vick to create chances in this game. Philadelphia it seems has woke up after a terrible start. The Eagles win, but Chicago and their defense keep the game close to the end. Brian Urlacher will get at least one turnover and a sack of Vick.

I don't think the Chargers win this game, because both Ryan Mathews and Kris Dielman are out. Even if they both played, their secondary has been far too worrisome for me this season. Chicago's defense is a little overrated right now, because I haven't seen much good come out of that secondary. I miss it when Chris Harris played in the box and Danieal Manning was the high safety; that was a formula for success. What baffles me is that people hated on the Bengals so much. In my preview, the only legit weaknesses I saw were at receiver and in the secondary. There is a gaping hole at the CB spot next to incumbent Leon Hall, but Reggie Nelson has stepped up as a safety and finally remembered how to tackle. Over in St. Louis, Quintin Mikell is trying to make me look bad by forgetting how to do the same action. Crazy year man.
