Week 12 in the NFL Games

November 25th 2011 16:22
After the great trio of games on Thanksgiving the NFL has a full schedule of games on Sunday, and the regular Monday night contest.

Houston at Jacksonville: Andre Johnson is expected to return just in the nick of time to assist Matt Leinart in the offense. The Jaguars will come after Leinart with their solid defense. Former Oregon Duck, Kellen Clemens was signed to be Leinart's back-up. This game should be a defensive battle. Like the Texans to win though.

Buffalo at NY Jets: What has happened to Buffalo? They are looking awful. The Jets are not that much better though, especially after blowing that game last week to Denver. The Jets need more of Mark Sanchez. Shonn Greene is expected to be back to help. Buffalo running back Fred Jackson is out for the season, making CJ Spiller now the starter. The Jets rebound and win.

Cleveland at Cincinnati: The Browns got a win last week, snapping a three-game losing streak. Cincinnati lost a close one to Pittsburgh. Cleveland needs to shut down Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton. They have the leagues top defense against the pass, making the need for a rushing game even stronger for Cincinnati. The Bengals will pull it out though it should be low scoring.

Minnesota at Atlanta: Minnesota's Christian Ponder is looking pretty good as a quarterback, now he will have to be better with Adrian Petersen out. Atlanta continues to win and keep pace with the Saints with an easy win.

Arizona at St. Louis: The dud of the week part one. Two very bad teams, fighting for last place in the NFC West. Sam Bradford has been so inconsistent this year. Steven Jackson's presence has helped out some but the Rams are bad. St. Louis showed little fight last week against the 49ers. The lack of a quarterback is hurting. The Rams will win a low-scoring contest here.

Carolina at Indianapolis: The dud of the week part two. Only thing keeping this game from being not worthwhile is Carolina quarterback Cam Newton who is gaving a good rookie year. He had some issues last week versus the Lions passing defense, but should rebound against the listless Colts. Panthers win and keep Indianapolis without a win.

Tampa Bay at Tennessee: Two teams in need of a win to stay in the playoff hunt. The Titans are expecting Matt Hasselbeck to return but Jake Locker looked good last week, leading the Titans to a couple of touchdowns. Tampa Bay is looking like a team lost out there. So much talent on both sides of the ball just they can't get it together. The Titans will win, knocking the Buccaneers back down even more.

Chicago at Oakland: Caleb Hanie starting for the Bears, makes their defense and Devin Hester even more valuable. Chicago won't go down easily, but Oakland with Carson Palmer leading the way will win.

Washington at Seattle: The Redskins are losers of six straight and Seattle has won three in a row. Something has got to give. Not a huge proponent of the Seahawks but the Redskins can be compared to Indianapolis favorably as one of the worst teams in the league. Marshawn Lynch will run wild as the Seahawks win.

Denver at San Diego: Tim Tebow just wins. Nothing special he just wins. San Diego just loses. Philip Rivers is leading the league in interceptions, without a running game, he doesn't have a chance. Ryan Matthews will need 100 yards on the ground but San Diego rebounds, and ends their five-game losing streak.

New England at Philadelphia: Philadelphia won a tight contest last week over the Giants, while the Patriots cake-walked to a win over Kansas City. LeSean McCoy will run wild against a weak Patriots rushing defense, but Tom Brady will do whatever he wants versus the Eagles defense. Patriots win a close one. Vince Young will start again for the Eagles.

Pittsburgh at Kansas City: Another primetime game for new Chiefs starting quarterback Tyler Palko. Kansas City looked okay for the first quarter last week before giving up versus New England. Pittsburgh is too strong for this game to even be close. Stranger things have happened though, just don't see the Chiefs keeping it close. Steelers win, even if Ben Roethliesberger struggles with a broken thumb. He is still expected to play.

NY Giants at New Orleans: Finally a good Monday night game? Probably the best game after yesterday's Thanksgiving contests. Both teams have the offense to make this a wild game. I like the Saints defense better of the two. Drew Brees and Eli Manning will both get at least two touchdown passes, both quarterbacks have solid rushing attacks. Will be a good game, Saints win.
