Use of new pads likely for next season

A rising occurrence of injuries to players knee's and quadriceps is on NFL Commissioner's Goodell's mind. So much so that he is expected to mandate new thigh and knee pad's for players to use.
NFL has begun looking into new uniform leg pants, as an attempt to bring this change along easier. The ability to have light thigh, and knee pads stiched into the uniform, rather then let players manually take them out, will help ease the risk of injury.
Players looking to be quick, have opted to take the extra pads off their legs, and injuries was the result, in numerous cases this season. NFL Owners want a change, as do the NFL. Goodell might not even let the owners have a vote on whether this pads come into the league.
Football is a hardcore sport, with injuries happening every few plays it seems. Any way to cut down these from occuring, is a great move from the league.
Two Seahawks went down to head injuries during their loss to Chicago, Sunday. Tight-end John Carlson in the first quarter, and cornerback Marcus Trufant in the third quarter, were both carted off the field. Good thing for the Seahawks and the two players, they will have the off-season now to rest up.
Here's to hope of no major injuries for the last three games of the season, including New York Jets, and New England Patriots who are currently playing.
