University of Pittsburgh head basketball coach, Jamie Dixon late Saturday night was traveling on I-279 when out of nowhere a Ford Escape suddenly swerved, crossed two lanes of traffic, struck a concrete barrier and landed on the passenger side.
Instead of just driving by, Dixon pulled over and rushed to action. According to witnesses, he pulled at least one of the people inside of the Explorer out of the vehicle to safety. Dixon received treatment for minor cuts on his hands after pulling a person out through the window. Both people inside the vehicle were treated and are in fair condition.
Nice to see a good, positive story coming out of sports considering all the darkness that has hung over it lately.
