Turkish basketball team wooing Kobe

July 19th 2011 00:28
Beskitas, the Turkish basketball team who recently signed Deron Williams to a contract, is in negioation to bring in Kobe Bryant. Though, the possible deal is on hold because of a match-fixing scandal in soccer storming through Turkey.

Beskitas is willing to pay Bryant $500,000, but Kobe wants nothing less then a $1 million. If a deal happens which was looking likely before this snag, expect something in between. Bryant if he does get signed will join New Jersey Nets point guard Deron Williams on the team. Beskitas is already locked in with Williams and a $5 million dollar deal, tying up most of their money. So if a deal does happen with Bryant, someone wealthy on the outside will have to step up.

Dwight Howard is pondering joining up with a team in China, while Kevin Durant also wants to move on. All this is thanks to two sides not even workign on a new deal. The players and owners have no upcoming meetings on the schedule! An amazement to me, and I bet many others.
