Free Agency is expected to open up on December 9th in the NBA. Here is a list of the top ten players available either restricted or unrestricted.
1. Marc Gasol: A restricted free agent from Memphis. Likely to stay, but has the talent and body to be one of the top centers within a couple of years.
2. Nene: Unrestricted free agent from Denver. Fills the stat sheet up, worthwhile for those who need a center.
3. David West: Unrestricted free agent from New Orleans. Was terminated from a $7.5 million dollar deal with the Hornets. Great scorer.
4. Tyson Chandler: Unrestricted free agent from Dallas. Great defender, looking for big deal now? Has a strong presence in the middle, needs to work on scoring more.
5. Jason Richardson: Unrestricted free agent from Orlando. A shooter and defender in one package. Teams could definitely use him.
6. Jamal Crawford: Unrestricted free agent from Atlanta. Numbers slipped a little last year, but is still a good guard who can do it all.
7. Thaddeus Young: Restricted free agent from Philadelphia. Young guy, will improve with age. Good scorer and rebounder as a sixth man.
8. Jeff Green: Restricted free agent from Boston. Plays all front court positions, skill-full big man.
9. J.J. Barea: Unrestricted free agent from Dallas. Put on a show during last years playoffs. Can shoot or take the ball down low. Many teams could use him.
