1. Derrick Rose- Chicago: Reason why the Bulls are number one in the East
2. Kevin Durant- Oklahoma City: Leading the league in scoring, pushing the Thunder.
3. Lebron James- Miami: K
Has Lakers once again in the thick of things, despite four-game losing streak
eeping the Heat in the thick of things.

4. Kobe Bryant- La Lakers: Another year, another title for the Lakers?
5. Dwight Howard- Orlando: Leagues best big man, versus the Hawks in the playoffs.
6. Amare Stoudemire- NY Knicks: Amongst the league leaders in scoring, and rebounds, key cog for the Knicks.
7. Dirk Nowitski-Dallas: Mavs once again one of the top teams in the league.
8. Dwayne Wade- Miami: The Heat want that second seed in the East.
9. Manu Ginoboli-San Antonio: Part of the overachieving Spurs, with the best record in the league.
10. Carmelo Anthony- NY Knicks: The Knicks are peaking right before the playoffs.
11. Chris Paul-New Orleans Hornets: Hornets are playoff bound with Paul as the leader.
12. LaMarcus Aldridge-Portland: Stepped up for the Blazers this year.
13. Zach Randolph-Memphis: Huge part of the Grizzlies attack, averaging double-doubles.
14.Paul Pierce-Boston: Leading the Celtics once again into the playoffs as a top contender.
15. Kevin Love-Minnesota: League's most improved player this year. If he is on a better team, he could be up for MVP!
16. Blake Griffin-LA Clippers: Rookie of the year, stormed onto the scene.

17. Tony Parker-San Antonio: Teaming up with Ginoboli to make the leagues best backcourt outside of Wade and Lebron.
18. Deron Williams-NJ Nets: Nets are stacked for the future with Williams as leader.
19.Steve Nash-Phoenix: Are the Suns going to reshuffle the lineup after this year? Will Nash be someone to move on?
20.Joe Johnson-Atlanta: Best player on the Hawks, the fifth best team in the East.

I think LeBron was the best player this year. He leads the league in win shares and efficiency. Best player and MVP are two totally different things though. I would put Howard at 3 and Love and Paul should be higher.
