1. Gary Payton- the best defender in the league during his prime. Payton could do it all on the court. He made the point guard position what it is today.
2. Shawn Kemp- five-time all-star, three-time all-nba team member. Kemp was a great 20-10 guy on the court.
3. Dennis Johnson- NBA-Finals MVP for Sonics when they won it in 1979. His smarts on the court was very evident in each game.
4. Jack Sikma-seven-time all-star, Sikma was automatic from everywhere inside the three-point line. Member of the Sonics lone championship team in 1979.
5. Kevin Durant- will probably take over the top spot before he is done. Durant is an elite scorer, player all-around. Needs to add some muscle to withstand the league in years to come.
6. Spencer Haywood- four-time all-star, four-time all-nba team member. Haywood was an elite rebounder and scorer around the hoop.
7. Russell Westbrook- score first mentality hurts him sometimes. Westbrook is a great talent on the court, still learning the point guard position.
8. Gus Williams- two-time all-star, member of championship team. Williams averaged around 29 points per game in the finals.
9. Ray Allen- began his career at Seattle. Great shooter, pure talent on the court.
10. Fred Brown- known for his outside shooting touch. Brown was captain of the championship team.
11. Rashard Lewis- franchise leader in three-point shots made. Lewis was huge for the Sonics down the stretch in games.
12. Alton Lister-great shot-blocker and journeyman in the league. Developed some offensive moves.
13. Nate McMillian- smart and heady player now a great coach in the league. Defensive whiz. Could score, more of a role-player
14. Xavier McDaniel- great scorer and rebounder for Sonics. Didn't last long with team, over-achiever on the court.
15. Michael Cage- near double-double averages for his team on team. Cage was an above-average defender, could score when needed.
16. Detlef Schrempf- guy who could come off the bench and play any position desired. Sixth-man of the year stalwart contender in league.
17. Derrick McKey-had great potential to become a star in the league, just didn't get much time. Good shooter and scorer for his size.
18. Lenny Wilkens- smart player was an all-star team member while with team. Another guy who went onto become a head coach in league.
19. Tom Chambers- classic 20-point scorer for each night. Very consistent player on team.
20. Nick Collison- been in the organization for a while now. Collison is known for his toughness, and defensive mind. Good rebounder, role player
