1. Patrick Ewing- one of best players in league history. 11-time all-star, knicks leader in many categories including points. Seventh all-time in defensive rebounds and six all-time in blocks in nba history.
2. Willis Reed- two-time NBA finals MVP, seven-time all-star, five-time all-nba team member. Remembered for coming back from an injury to lead knicks to a playoff victory.
3. Walt Frazier- seven-time all-star, seven-time all-defensive team member, all-time assists leader for knicks.
4. Dave DeBusschere- five-time all-star, six-time all-defensive team member. Nicknamed the "hammer", one of the best defenders in NBA history, great rebounder.
5. Earl Monroe- Earl "the Pearl", smooth player. Put on a show when he was on the court. Elite player for knicks.
6. Bernard King- one of the best scorers in league during the 80's. Two-time all-star, two-time all-nba team selection. Scored 50 or more points in two straight games, and scored another 60 in a game.
7. Mark Jackson- great pass-first point guard. Jackson was very smart player for team.
8. Harry Gallatin- seven-time all-star in 50's. Elite rebounder, played in 610 straight games for Knicks. Smallish center had great heart.
9. Bill Bradley- very smart guy on court and off. Bradley is a member of the hall of fame, won two NBA titles with knicks.
10. Charles Oakley- enforcer for Knicks. Teamed with Ewing to make the Knicks championship contenders in the 90's. Great rebounder and defender.
11. Allan Houston- two-time all-star. Houston was a great shooter. Not a great defender could do it. Good player.
12. John Starks- fiery player during the 90's. Great shooter, over-achiever.
13. Dick McGuire- seven time all-star, one of the top point guards in nba history in assists. Brother is Al
14. Carl Braun- first great knick player. Elite scorer, was a player-coach in latter part of career.
15. Dick Barnett- finished career with knicks, known as a bruiser. Good scorer, and rebounder.
16. Anthony Mason- good rebounder, defender. Key element to knicks championship runs.
17. Trent Tucker- played for knicks for nine seasons, known for his three-point shooting. Made the Trent Tucker rule happen which states .3 of a second needs to be on clock for a shot to count.
18. Phil Jackson- before winning many championships as a head coach, Jackson was a great player. Known for defense, Jackson could score at times.
19. Richie Guerin- point guard for Knicks in 50's. High scoring guard, scored 57 points in a game, and had 21 assists in another game. Good rebounder as a guard.
20. Bill Cartwright- began career as a knick. Not known as a scorer, more of a rebounder and role-player.
