Top 20 Players in Golden State History

1. Wilt Chamberlain- scored his 100 points as a member of the Warriors. One of tbe best players of all time, was a top scorer, rebounder, defender.

2. Rick Barry- great scorer for Golden State, could rebound, shoot and pass. Anything you wanted, Barry woud do.


3. Paul Arizin- ten-time all-star for team. Third leading scorer in franchise history, averaged 23 point for career. Great rebounder, named one of top 50 players of all-time.

4. Chris Mullin- five-time all-star, member of the original dream-team. All-time leader in steals for team, was as pure of a shooter as you will ever see.

5. Nate Thurmond- player the Warriors got in exchange after trading Chamberlain. Great center averaged 15 points and 15 rebounds per career. One year averaged 21 points and 19 boards.

6. Guy Rodgers- all-time leader for Golden State in assists. Four-time all-star had a knack of finding Chamberlain for easy scores.

7. Joe Fulks- Scored 63 points in one game, key member of the early Warriors in the 50's. Averaged 20 points per game for team.

8. Tim Hardaway- super point guard for team, was a great ball-handler and scorer, plus defender. Five-time all-star, ranks second on team in assists all-time.

9. Mitch Richmond- great shooter, could hit anything from anywhere on court. Fun player to watch.


10. Jeff Mullins- three-time all-star, averaged 16 points for his career. Played for Warriors for ten years, member of 1975 NBA championship team.

11. Tom Gola- five-time all-star for Philadelphia Warriors. All-around talent played in the 50's as a point-forward. Known for getting teammates involved and scoring his own.

12. Latrell Sprewell- great find for Warriors in the 90's. All-around talent was a member of the 1994 All-NBA team. Known for fiery attitude which led to his demise as a Warrior.

13. Baron Davis- guard played his best while with Warriors, averaging 20 points and eight rebounds.

14. Monta Ellis- dominant scorer, hard for some teams to stop him. Great find for Warriors as a second-round pick.

15. Al Attles- great defensive player for the Philadelphia Warriors, shut down Jerry West and others for Warriors. Could score and rebound, known for defense.

16. Jason Richardson- elite swingman for team. Good shooter and dunker, athletic player. Key for team during 2007 playoff run.

17. Purvis Short- big-time scorer once scored 59 points in a game. Four years straight averaged 21 points for Golden State.

18. Jamal Wilkes- good guard on a great team in the 70's. Moved on after Golden State and became a key member of the Los Angeles Lakers.

19. Antwan Jamison- best player on the Warriors in the late 90's and early 2000's. Versatile player for team, could do it all.

20. Phil Smith- great Warrior was a key member of the 1975 championship team. Averaged 15 points for his career.
