1. Dirk Nowitzki- brought the team the NBA Finals this past season. Best player all-time in the NBA from Europe. 2007 NBA MVP, 10-time all-star, four-time all-nba first-team. Top scorer in franchise history.
2. Mark Aguirre- three-time all-star, third in franchise for scoring all-time with 13,930 points.
3. Rolando Blackmon- four-time all-star, second in franchise in scoring, great scorer for Dallas. Teamed with Aguirre and Harper to make Dallas a strong team in the late 80's.
4. Derek Harper- great defender for Dallas in late 80's. Could score and pass the ball with the best of them, consistently averaging around 17 points per game and eight assists.
5. Steve Nash- two-time all-star, great shooter, one of best point guards in league still today.
6. Jason Kidd- finally won that elusive NBA title with Dallas last season. Plans on playing a couple more years, great pass-first guard and defensive whiz. Developed a three-point shot late in his career.
7. Michael Finley- slashing guard, two-time all-star for Mavs. Hasn't been the same since he got released by Dallas.
8. Jason Terry- may move up by the time his time is done with team. Known to fill up the net off the bench. Consistent performer always mentioned as sixth-man top candidate.
9. Sam Perkins- only player in Dallas history to ever record a 30-point, 20- rebound performance. Played with team for five years, averaged 15 points, eight rebounds.
10. Roy Tarpley- issues with injuries and drugs halted an once promising career with team. Great rebounder, scorer, could do whatever team wanted him to do in the middle.
11. Jay Vincent- great scorer and rebounder for team. His run with team was short or he would be higher on list.
12. Josh Howard- could of been higher on list had off the court issues not hindered his progress as a player. Great scorer and rebounder for team, clutch shooter. Tough, athletic player.
13. A.C. Green- played milestone 1,000 game in league with Dallas. Iron-man was never seen on bench, was solid player for Mavs and Lakers.
14. Jamal Mashburn- fiery player who never saw a shot he didn't like. Part of trio with Kidd and Jackson who were a strong offensive trio.
15. Devin Harris- lightning quick guard, could fill the stat sheet.
16. James Donaldson- played six seasons with the Mavs, key inside prescence for team.
17. Jim Jackson- pure shooter could do it all. Was traded after only three years with team or he would of been higher.
18. Brad Davis- ran the team for the early 80's. Was near a double-double for points and assists.
19. Erick Dampier- played with Dallas for seven years, helped the team to the 2006 NBA Finals.
20.Detlef Schrempf- began career with Dallas, was key contributor of the bench for the team.
