Three Unbeaten Teams Remain in the NBA
November 7th 2010 22:11
New Orleans after defeating Milwaukee Saturday night is one of the three remaining unbeaten teams and the most surprising of these. Atlanta and Los Angeles Lakers are the other two. The Lakers after winning the last two NBA titles are expected to have starts like this, Atlanta who was knocked out last season in the playoffs without putting up much of a fight versus Orlando is a bit of a surprise.
How are the Hornets winning? After being picked to go last place by most observers for the Southwest division, the Hornets have instead played with a chip on their shoulder. New coach Monty Williams formerly an assistant coach for Portland has Chris Paul who wanted out during the offseason loving the Hornets and the game once again. Power forward Emeka Okeafor is right now playing like his college days once again, like he was at Connecticut, but most of all Paul's averaging a nearly a triple double is the reason for New Orleans winning streak.
Atlanta is winning thanks in large part to an easy early season schedule but also in large part to management not changing up the team. No big signings to speak off other then Joe Johnson re-signing for six more years at an large rate of $124 million, other then that, Atlanta stood firm during the off-season. This has helped the team for now. Hard to say how much longer it will. Once the schedule is tougher, the real Hawks will show up until then, live it up.
