Thanksgiving Day in the NFL Games

Green Bay at Detroit: Can the Packers undefeated run end on thanksgiving day? It is possible. Detroit is coming off putting 49 points on Carolina. Now the Panthers don't have that good of a defense but neither does Green Bay at this point in the season.
Matthew Stafford on the season has 25 touchdown passes, just six behind Aaron Rodgers of the Packers. Of course they both have good supporting casts. Green Bay's passing defense is next to last in the league, giving up 290 passing yards a game. The Lions average 272 yards per game threw the air. Where Detroit gets beat is on the ground. Green Bay does have a decent running back in James Starks but they love to pass. So this game is strength versus strength. Stafford and Calvin Johnson plus Kevin Smith are going to have great games to offset what Rodgers will do. Am going for the minor upset and Detroit.
Miami at Dallas: The Dolphins have won three straight games after losing their first seven. Matt Moore is putting up great numbers as the quarterback, leading the league in QBR rating threw this streak. Plus the Dolphins defense have not given up a touchdown the last three weeks.
DeMarco Murray's emergence as a running back has lessened the load on Tony Romo and the Cowboys have jumped to the top of the NFC East. Their defense and offense are amongst the league leaders in offense and defense, with DeMarcus Ware being a machine against the run.
Dallas will win a close game here. They have won three straight also, and will eek out a win against a pesky Miami team all of a sudden.
San Francisco at Baltimore: The inaugural Harbaugh bowl here as 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh faces Ravens John Harbaugh. Both teams are having great seasons with the 49ers winning eight straight and Baltimore at a 7-3 mark. Both teams are winning with great defenses. The Ravens are seventh against pass and fifth versus the run in the league while the 49ers stand at first with the run and 23rd against the pass.
Can Joe Flacco rise to the occasion and take advantage of the shoddy 49ers pass defense? The Ravens haven't been running the ball well this year, and are mostly one-dimensional with Flacco passing. Baltimore has stunk it up versus the easy teams and played well against the better teams. Losing to Seattle and Jacksonville, but beating Pittsburgh twice? Crazy.
Alex Smith has come to live under Harbaugh's tutleage. He has 13 touchdown passes on the season, but they don't want him to do too much. Frank Gore is the leader on the offense. He has 870 yards on the season. Vernon Davis has emerged as a solid receiver for Smith as the tight end. In a close call, I gotta go Baltimore here, ending the 49ers eight-game winning streak.
