Spurs win, lose Ginobili and Splitter

February 19th 2012 17:13
The San Antonio Spurs came back in dramatic fashion to force overtime on Saturday night versus the Los Angeles Clippers. The team went onto win the game, 103-100. During the game, the Spurs however lost two players to injury.

Shooting guard Manu Ginobili and center Tiago Splitter were both injured in the victory, San Antonio's 10th straight on the season. Ginobili was in his 4th game back after missing 22 games earlier this season after breaking his hand. Ginobili was averaging 13 points per game this season.

Clippers guard Chris Paul threw the ball away, leading to a Gary Neal three-pointer and the overtime. Paul trying not to turn the ball over on a bad inbounds pass, tossed the ball into the waiting hands of Neal who calmly drained a three-pointer with five seconds remaining. The play took mere seconds to unfold.

San Antonio commanded the action in the overtime, keyed by another Neal triple. Tony Parker led the way for the Spurs, with 30 points and 10 assists. Blake Griffin had 22 points and 20 rebounds for the Clippers in the loss.
