San Antonio Spurs shooting guard Manu Ginobili will be out for at least two months after breaking his hand on Monday.
A plate will be screwed onto his shooting hand on Thursday. Ginobili broke the fifth metacarpl below his pinkie, during a loss to Minnesota. The guard was leading the Spurs in scoring, averaging 17 points per contest.
San Antonio hosts Golden State tonight. This injury will force the team to bring fellow guard Gary Neal back sooner then they would of liked after he had his appendix removed during training camp.
In other injury news, Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph will also be out for around two months after tearing his mcl in the right knee on Tuesday. Randolph was leading the Grizzlies in scoring, averaging about 15 points per game. Memphis was involved in a three-team trade on Wednesday, with New Orleans and Philadelphia. The Grizzlies acquired forward Marrese Speights from the 76ers, to help fill the void.
