Spain wins Eurobaseket Championship

Spain behind 27 points from Juan Charles Navarro, defeated France 98-85 to win the EuroBasket championship.
Navarro won MVP honors for the tournament. He scored 35 points against Macaedonia in the semifinal matchup. Pau Gasol added 17 points and 10 rebounds in the game. Serge Ibaka, who was granted citizenship recently had five blocks in a key part of the game. Jose Calderon scored 17 points, Marc Gasol 11 points and Rudy Fernandez added 14 in the final.
France, led by Tony Parker, couldn't get the lead under ten points in the final quarter. Parker scored 26 points in the final game. Boris Diaw scored 12 points, Joakhim Noah put in 11 points and eight rebounds, and Nicolas Batum scored 10 points.
Spain grabbed control of the game early, causing 23 France turnovers. Both teams because of making the final, have earned bids for next year's London Olympics.
