Spain beats Germany in EuroBasket

Germany, led by NBA Finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki are on the verge of elimination from EuroBasket 2011 after losing to Spain. Marc and Pau Gasol keyed the Spain's, 77-68 win.
Marc scored 24 points and Pau added 19 in the win. Nowitzki scored 19 for the Germans. Chris Kaman added 15 points and 12 rebounds. Germany fell to 0-3 in the tournament. Spain improved to 2-1. Germany committed 16 turnovers in the loss.
Tony Parker and France ran their record to 3-0 after beating Turkey, 68-64. Parker led the French with 20 points in the game, including seven key free throws down the stretch.
Lithuania beat Serbia in other action, 100-90. Jonas Valanciunas led Lithuania with 18 points. Nenad Kristic scored 18 for Serbia, who fell to 1-2 in the competition.
Germany faces Turkey on Friday, needing a win to have any hopes of staying alive. Serbia plays Spain and France takes on Lithuania. F.Y.R. of Macedonia plays Georgia tomorrow in a key game, and Russia faces Finland.
