Rematch of NCAA Championship
December 4th 2010 03:39
With the football championship set to finalize their participants tomorrow, an rematch of the basketball final is also set to take place. Top-ranked Duke and Butler will take center place on the court once again. Duke of course won a thriller in the final of last season's NCAA tournament. A few pieces from both teams are missing from that epic game. Even still the game should be a dandy.
Duke(7-0) no longer has Jon Scheyer running the offense but Kyle Singler and Nolan Smith remain. Added were freshman Kyrie Irving, and transfer Seth Curry. Butler (4-2) has struggled getting used to life without first round NBA draft pick Gordan Hayward though are still widely favored to win the Horizon conference. Guard Shelvin Mack and Matt Howard remain leading the way for Butler. Coach Brad Stevens will have Butler ready for this game.
Duke will likely win the game in the end, but Butler will compete and once again try to garner a monumental upset for the smaller conferences.
