Pryor eligible for draft but...

Terrelle Pryor, formerly of the Ohio State Buckeyes, can be drafted in the NFL Supplemental Draft on August, 22nd. Though he will not be able to play the first five games of the 2011 season after signing a deal.
Pryor can play in the preseason for the team which drafts him but he can't practice or play in a game until week six. The quarterback from Ohio State, had issues facing him if he returned to school. Now it turns out he is more of the same, in the NFL awaiting him. Boneheaded moves like hiring an agent while still technically on the Buckeyes roster cost Pryor.
The NFL players union recommended Pryor and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus fight this suspension, however it seems they are content with the punishment. The players union are concerned this punishment sends a bad message to those players who are in trouble in the NCAA and jump to the professionals. A suspension in the NCAA shouldn't result in a suspension in the NFL or should it?
Pryor did have a couple of good seasons at Ohio State, notably throwing for 57 touchdown passes and becoming the universities top rushing quarterback. Last year, Pryor threw for 27 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, plus ran for 754 yards and another four touchdowns.
Pryor has great talent as a football player. As a NFL quarterback though it is hard to say if he can make it. Pryor's off the field issues may make some teams shy away from him. Somebody will take a chance on the former Buckeye, and in turn walk away with a good player.
Five other players are elgible to be drafted in the supplemental draft, Georgia running back Caleb King, Northern Illinois safety Tracy Wilson, Western Carolina cornerback Torez Jones, Lindenwood University Keenan Mace and North Carolina defensive end Michael McAdoo.
