Pittsburgh commits seven turnovers in loss
September 12th 2011 02:10
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw three interceptions in the teams loss to Baltimore. The Ravens defeated Pittsburgh, 35-7 in a matchup many figured would be closer.
Joe Flacco, quarterback of the Ravens tossed three touchdown passes in the game. Ray Rice ran for 107 yards for the Ravens in the game. Baltimore jumped on the Steelers right away, with 14 straight points in the first quarter. Pittsburgh fell behind, 21-7 at the halfway mark. Things turned even more for the worse in the third quarter, as the Ravens scored another touchdown. Then, Baltimore added a two-point conversion and the game was over.
Across the slate today, we had many interesting games. Kansas City being blown out by Buffalo, 41-7 at Arrowhead Stadium, shines as the largest shocker other then Pittsburgh and Baltimore. Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick threw four touchdown passes in the win. One other minor shocker happened in Houston. The Texans embarassed Indianapolis, 34-7 in the Colts first game without Peyton Manning.
The Bears beat Atlanta, 30-12 at Soldier Field. Chicago made the Falcons look silly with the old bend but don't break style of defense. Matt Ryan threw for over 300 yards, but the offense only scored four field goals.
In the Sunday night game, Dallas and the New York Jets are embroiled in a close game through the first half. Dallas riding the hot hand of Tony Romo, leads 10-7. Look for the Jets to eek out a win. Game will go down to the wire.
