Oregon football in hot water?

The Oregon Ducks football program is being investigated by the NCAA over allegations of abusing a recruiting service. By abusing, I mean paying them $25,000 dollars instead of the usual $5,000 given to the service when they are used. That's the general idea of what the NCAA is looking at. Now I will delve a little closer.
During Oregon's recruitment of five-star running back Lache Seastruck they were assisted by a recruiting service in Texas. Seastruck went to high school at Temple High, there in Texas. Willie Lyles worked for this service and was the main recruiter of Seastruck for Oregon. He was paid $25,000 dollars, not the service who fired him, after getting Seastruck to sign with the Ducks. Seastruck turned down overtures from USC, California, and LSU to sign. Lyles began working with Oregon in 2010.
Lyles worked with other big name schools like Oklahoma State, LSU, USC, Baylor, and Texas A&M. Recruiting services are common for schools to use, but they don't typically get paid as much as Lyles did from the Ducks. $5,000 dollars is the normal payment for such services. Oregon had used this service before and paid $16,500 for what they did. Oregon's compliance office is aware of their dealings with Lyle and the services.
LaMichael James brought Lyle with him to the ESPN Awards banquet. Lyle is listed as a mentor and advisor to the Oregon running back who won the Doak Walker award this past season. The NCAA wants to know how close these two are.
Now that the Ducks are an elite program things like this arise will arise with the NCAA. Its too bad that Oregon decided to pay Lyle so much money, but there is no violation here. Time for the NCAA to move onto more urgent matters like to pay the athlete or not.
