Northwest Division teams needs in NBA Draft

Minnesota: Like always or it seems since Kevin Garnett left, Minnesota has a top-five pick in the NBA Draft. After winning only 17 games on the season, they need something fast to turn this decline. Adding Ricky Rubio helps some, and the second pick in the Draft can do wonders. Derrick Williams is the likely choice with the pick. Minnesota doesn't need a combo forward like Williams, but he is such a superior talent to most others in the draft, he will be hard to pass up. Teaming Williams with Kevin Love and Rubio could point the Timberwolves in the right direction.
Utah: The Jazz have two picks in the top-12 of the Draft. The third pick which came from New Jersey per the Deron Williams trade and a little later Utah holds the 12 selection. Utah went 39-43 last season, but they can still do better. Enes Kanter from Turkey could go at the 3 or Utah could grab Brandon Knight and team him up with Devin Harris in the backcourt. With the 12th pick, guys like Jimmer Freddette or Klay Thompson from Washington State come to mind. Both guys can add to the backcourt depth and push Raja Bell for the starting shooting guard position.
Portland: With the 21st pick in the draft, Portland can go a number of ways. First off, there were reports of them looking to move up in the draft to nab Kemba Walker. Acting General Manager Chad Buchanan is working on possible trade deals to bring in a veteran player. Coach Nate McMillian says he doesn't want to add another rookie to the mix. Or if the Blazers keep the 21st pick, selecting power forward Kenneth Faried from Morehead State is an option. Inserting Faried as the backup power forward to LaMarcus Aldridge makes great sense. The Blazers do need to get younger at the center and point guard position's with Marcus Camby and Andre Miller aging.
Denver: The Thunder exposed Denver's weaknesses in the playoffs. Now Denver has a chance to re-assess the damage. The Nuggets hold the 22nd pick in the first round. Denver has a decent starting lineup and a few good bench players. Bringing in someone from Europe or a solid four-year college player is a good idea here. A guy like Chris Singleton from Florida State or Justin Harper from Richmond would fit in nicely with this team.
Oklahoma City: What does Oklahoma City need, maybe other then another year of playing together? Nothing much. The Thunder have the 24th pick in the Draft. Adding a shooting guard to mesh in with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook could be an idea. Or drafting a point guard and moving Westbrook over to the shooting guard slot may push the Thunder to the NBA Finals. Everyone with this team has their roles clearly marked, not creating any head-aches. Darius Morris from Michigan could slide to the pick or Reggie Jackson from Boston College. Adding Shelvin Mack is another option which the Thunder may be hard pressed to turn down.
