No change of name yet for Ron Artest

It seems Metta World Peace will have to wait until a few outstanding warrants are accounted for.
Ron Artest of the Los Angeles Lakers filed for name change earlier this summer. Superior Court spokeswoman Elizibeth Martinez says the court will not okay the name change due to the warrants. The court will look at the name-change again on September, 16th. Artest wants copies of the citations and says he will pay them if they are unpaid.
Artest had planned a celebratory barbeque, but this will wait for a while. This past season, Artest averaged nine points and three rebounds for the Lakers. For his career, the small forward averages 15 points and five rebounds.
