McNabb, Redskins agree to deal: The Washington Redskins, hours before they hit the field to match wits with the Philadelphia Eagles, announced a deal Monday. An contract extension agreement was met between Washington and quarterback Donovan McNabb for five years with $40 million guaranteed and deal could be up to $88 million. The extension comes after McNabb was benched in favor of Rex Grossman during the Redskins loss to Detroit two weeks ago. McNabb on the season has a quarterback rating of 76.0, seven touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Steelers consider cutting placekicker: Jeff Reed who missed his seventh field goal of the season during Pittsburgh's 39-26 loss to New England is on the chopping block. Pittsburgh officials will work out possible kickers who can take over the spot on Tuesday. Reed has made 15 out of 22 attempts this season.
Dolphins sign new quarterback: One day after losing two quarterbacks to injury, Chad Pennington and Chad Henne, Miami went out and signed former first round pick Patrick Ramsey. Pennington injured the same shoulder which has bothered him for a year now in his first start back after surgery. Henne injured his knee late in the third quarter after relieving Pennington. Henne was 19-28 for 240 yards in Miami's win. Tyler Thigpen played the fourth quarter and is lined up to play Thursday versus Chicago.
Kansas City coach apoligizes: It is customary for head coaches to meet in the middle of the field and shake hands. Only Kansas City coach Todd Haley after his teams 49-29 loss to Denver, decided not to shake hands with Broncos coach Josh McDaniels. Instead he wagged his finger in front of McDaniels and walked away. Haley later on apologized for his actions. The Cheifs due to the loss fell into a first place tie with Oakland in the AFC west division.
