NFL Games on Sept. 25th Preview

September 23rd 2011 22:47
Houston at New Orleans: One of the games of the week, as both teams suddenly have amongst the leagues top defenses. Houston out of nowhere is ranked as the top defense. Matt Schaub and the Texans offense is rolling as is Drew Brees and the Saints offense. New Orleans wins a tight game, though this Texans team is quite improved.

NY Giants at Philadelphia: The Eagles return Michael Vick just in time for another meeting with the Giants. Vick and the Eagles win with ease over the Giants who are still searching for an identity.

Jacksonville at Carolina: A matchup of rookie quarterbacks as Blaine Gabbart takes over behind the center for the Jaguars. Cam Newton who was projected by many to struggle and be a flop has been anything but thus far on the year. Newton and the Panthers get their first win of the year, easily outdistancing the Jaguars in the end.

New England at Buffalo: A game of two unbeatens. Crazy to say the Bills are unbeaten. Though we have only two games down on the schedule, but Buffalo is showing marked improvement with Ryan Fitzpatrick coming into his own as a quarterback. Tom Brady is the class of the league at the position and the Patriots will win the game, but Buffalo gives them a good game for a while.
Drew Brees and the Saints will beat the Texans on Sunday

Miami at Cleveland: Chad Henne has been a bright spot for the Dolphins. Reggie Bush hasn't been. Cleveland wins a tight game with Colt McCoy and the Browns defense doing enough to gain the win.

San Francisco at Cincinnati: The 49ers get back on the winning track after a hard fought loss against the Cowboys last week. Cincinnati is getting great quarterback play out of Andy Dalton, but he is not enough for the Bengals here.

Denver at Tennessee: Both teams offense's when on can be high scoring. Expect a good game here, but Matt Hasselbeck will outshine Kyle Orton, sending the Titans to the win.

Detroit at Minnesota: The Lions win and move to 3-0 sending the Vikings to 0-3. Adrian Peterson is the Vikings lone bright spot as this season is heading south fast.

Baltimore at St. Louis: A matchup of two teams looking to stay in the thick of things. Baltimore had a terrible game last week against the Titans, and the Rams have dropped both of their games on the season, but played decent in both outings against the Giants and Eagles. Without Stephen Jackson, the Rams don't have a running game. His return is questionable, making the Ravens defense be more prone to shut down Sam Bradford. The Ravens win.

NY Jets at Oakland: Oakland always plays the Jets really hard. I don't see anything else happening here but a Raiders win. Jason Campbell and the Raiders offense will score just enough points against a tough Jets defense to win.

Kansas City at San Diego: The Chiefs are staring at a 0-3 record as they take on San Diego. Philip Rivers and the Chargers offense have a field day on one of the leagues worst defenses thus far on the season. San Diego wins.

Arizona at Seattle: A dud game in Seattle. Tavaris Jackson and the Seahawks have looked pathetic thus far this year. The Cardinals are a little better and they should find a way to add to the Seahawks dismay. Kevin Kolb has a breakout game.

Atlanta at Tampa Bay: Another good game. Josh Freeman proved how good he really is last week as did Matt Ryan. A great rushing attack keyed by Michael Turner helped out Ryan. This game will be keyed by which defense plays better. It will go down to the wire, and the Falcons find a way to get it done.

Green Bay at Chicago: One of the best games of the week, a key divisional game for the NFC North. Chicago needs to find a way to block for Jay Cutler or this team could be headed for a 10 loss season. I like the way Matt Forte has been playing though, helping out Cutler. Mike Martz is looking at ways to help Cutler out with the weak offensive line. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers found a way to beat the Panthers, am going for a minor upset here and the Bears to win.

Pittsburgh at Indianapolis: The roof is about to collapse on the season for the Colts here. They are 10 point underdogs at home against the Steelers here. Kerry Collins is looking bad, making one wonder when the team will play Curtis Painter again. The Steelers defense have a field day, winning the game.

Washington at Dallas: Tony Romo's return to the field is still questionable, putting Jon Kitna on alert as the stand-in quarterback. Washington and DeAngelo Hall are ready in case Romo returns. The Redskins win here if Romo doesn't play with ease. If Romo is back, then look for a close game and the Cowboys to win.
