Top player performance: New Jersey Nets guard Deron Williams's 29 points and eight assists in the Nets victory over Chicago on Saturday. The Bulls were without Derrick Rose in the loss.
Best win: Minnesota defeating Philadelphia, 92-91 on Saturday. Rickey Rubio led the Timberwolves to the big win over the 76ers with 22 points and five assists.
Worst loss: San Antonio losing by forty points to Portland, 137-97 on Tuesday. The Spurs were resting their three top players in the game, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginoboli all sat on the bench during the bad loss to the Blazers.
Best game of week: Sunday's game between Dallas and New York was quite entertaining. The Knicks rallied to defeat Dallas, 104-97. Dirk Nowitzki scored 34 points in the loss, Jeremy Lin led the Knicks with 25 points and 14 assists.
Look ahead: The all-star weekend takes place on Friday night through Sunday afternoon's encounter between the West and East. All the novelty events take place, the 3-point contest, slam dunk contest, etc. Action starts back up on Tuesday of next week. Next Wednesday, the schedule brings along a couple of interesting games. Oklahoma City travels to Philadelphia, Portland at Denver, and San Antonio hosting Chicago.
