NBA Thoughts

Christmas day game ratings: The game featuring two of the top teams in the NBA, Los Angeles and Miami, saw the largest rating in six years for a regular season game. Miami dominanted the Lakers, 96-80. Two of the league's most popular players, Kobe Bryant and Lebron James were featured in the battle. The game posted a rating of 6.4, just below the 2004 mark of 7.3 percent. Surprisingly enough this game was between Los Angeles and Miami also.
Lebron knows the word contraption: A week after saying he preferred contraption as a way to cut out players and teams from the league, James wants to take that back. Lebron claims he doesn't know what the word contraption meant before he saw it on the internet. All he said was how the league was better in the 80's.
Shaq fined over comments: Only 13 minutes of playing time was all it took for Boston Celtics center Shaquille O'Neal to foul out on Christmas day. Boston lost 86-78 to Orlando in a game which ended the Celtics 14-game winning streak. Shaq after the game voiced his displeasure of the referrees. This earned him a $35,000 dollar pay cut.
NBA's best and worst: San Antonio continues to lead the league with the best record of 26-4. The Spurs have yet to lose two games straight this season. Sacramento has NBA's worst record at 5-22. The Kings are currently on a seven game losing streak.
