NBA Team Rankings 4/6
April 6th 2011 22:49
1. Chicago- Earns the top ranking by leading the Eastern Conference with ease. The Bulls have a clear cut path to the NBA Finals.
2. Los Angeles- Despite going on a two game losing streak here recently, and getting second place in the West, Los Angeles is the team to beat in the conference.
3. San Antonio- Remain with the best record in the league, but team almost lost their commanding lead in the West. With the three stars back, San Antonio will be tough to beat in the West.
4. Miami- The team was supposed to be the team to beat, pre-season, though they will likely lose before the NBA Finals.
5. Boston- Team falling fast. Veteran players aging fast.
6. Oklahoma City- Young talent and a tough series with the Nuggets ahead.
7. Dallas- Is this the last year before the team rebuilds again?
8. Orlando- Dwight Howard and company have a tough road ahead.
9. Denver- Nuggets improved by trading Carmelo Anthony, though enough to win a playoff series?
10. Atlanta- Hawks have a talented squad, but inconsistency hurts.
11. Portland- Lack of outside shooters hurt the Blazers. Another loss like last night's can result in a first round series with the Lakers!
12. Memphis- Bad loss to the Clippers last night, but the Grizzlies have been rolling, even with losing Rudy Gay.
13. New Orleans- Team is destined for the sixth or seventh seed in the West. Everything is up in the air.
14. New York- A four-game winning streak pushes the Knicks into the sixth spot over Philadelphia in the East? Not yet, but just a half-game behind.
15. Houston- Rockets are in ninth place in the West. Team is better then the final two playoff teams in the East.
16. Philadelphia- Struggling during the last week. Sixers are one win away from guaranteeing a .500 record.
17. Utah- Beat the Lakers last night, looking to salvage the season.
18. Phoenix-Team struggles to play defense, and score at times.
19. Golden State- Great shooters, not enough big guys in the middle. Team is on the rise.
20. Indiana- The eighth and final team in the East to clinch a playoff spot.
21. LA Clippers- Future is bright with Blake Griffin and Mo Williams.
22. Charlotte- Who knows what Michael Jordan will do with this team now.
23. Milwaukee- Injuries killed the Bucks this year. With healthy bodies next year, look out.
24. Detroit- Another bad year for the Pistons.
25. New Jersey- Nets have showed signs of improving this year, with Deron Williams they have a bright future.
26. Sacremento- Team is a player or two away from contending for a playoff spot.
27. Washington- Rashard Lewis didn't help team out. Would of been better keeping Gilbert Arenas.
28. Toronto- Team loves to score, just not to defend.
29. Cleveland- Not the worst team after all, thanks to someone else.
30. Minnesota- Timberwolves on a 11-game losing streak. Have one more win then Cleveland, but without an injured Kevin Love they have no chance.
2. Los Angeles- Despite going on a two game losing streak here recently, and getting second place in the West, Los Angeles is the team to beat in the conference.
