NBA on Christmas Day Preview
December 24th 2012 16:38
Here is a brief rundown of the NBA's slate of games for Christmas Day.
Boston at Brooklyn: A key game for both teams as they battle for in the Atlantic Division. Boston comes in at a 13-13 record, while Brooklyn is 14-12. The Nets are still learning how to win, and playing on Christmas day is something new for the team. Boston, been here and done that, should enter this game with a chip on their shoulder. Look for the Celtics to win, led by guard Rajon Rondo as he outplays Deron Williams.
New York at LA Lakers: Can the Lakers make .500 here? Coming at 13-14, while the Knicks are 20-7, this game has interesting written all over it. I like the Lakers to take home the win as Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash work together, getting Dwight Howard involved.
Oklahoma City at Miami: A rematch of the NBA finals. The leagues two best teams with the Thunder at 21-5 and Miami, 18-6. The Heat as the home team here should prevail with Lebron James outdueling Kevin Durant.
Houston at Chicago: Houston is 14-12, while Chicago enters with a 15-11 record. This game should be another chance for James Harden to showcase his abilities. I like the Rockets to win here.
Denver at LA Clippers:The Clippers are 21-6 on the year, and Denver is 15-13. The Clippers have won 13 straight games. I don't see a Christmas Day miracle here as the Clippers roll. Guard Chris Paul is having a great season. He leads the Clippers to the win.
