NBA News: NBA Playoffs talk

Dallas advanced to the finals by dispatching the Oklahoma City Thunder, 100-96. Shawn Marion and Dirk Nowitzki teamed up to score 52 points combined in the win. The Dallas bench came through in the win, totaling 36 points. Now Dallas awaits a victor in the Eastern Conference Finals. Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden scored 77 of the Thunder's points. They will be back next year along with Memphis in the West.
Chicago just grabbed a 76-64 lead at the four minute-mark in a game which has been defensive oriented. Derrick Rose has 22 points in the game to lead the Bulls. He is 8-22 from the field and has eight assists to go with the points. Luol Deng has stepped up with 16 points as the only other double figure scorer for the Bulls. Carlos Boozer after having two straight good games in the series has just five points. Lebron James is leading the Heat with 18 points. Chris Bosh also has 18, while Dwayne Wade stands with 13 points. The Heat are shooting 35 %, and Chicago has connected on 37% of their field goals.
I believe the Bulls extend this series out tonight but fall in game six on Saturday. This leaves us with a NBA Finals rematch from 2006, which saw Miami come from a 2-0 game deficit to win the series in six games. Wade and Shaquille O'Neal made Dallas defenders look silly in the final four games. This past series will make Dallas even stronger this time around. Back then Dallas was a younger team led by Nowitzki and Jerry Stackhouse. Jason Terry was on the team, but no Jason Kidd. Now with the added seasoning Terry, and Nowitzki along with Shawn Marion, and the strong bench will push through the Heat for the title victory.
But I am getting ahead of myself as we still have the Eastern Conference on the line. Rebounding from a 3-1 game deficit like Chicago will have to do is much easier when two of these games could be played on their home-court. If anyone could amass this impossible feat it would be the team with the MVP and coach-of-the-year on the payroll. The feat is very unlikely, but anything is possible in the NBA Playoffs, especially this year. Back tomorrow for a breakdown of game six, unless the unlikely happens and Miami storms back.
UPDATE: Miami did it. Led by the big three, Miami stormed back and beat Chicago in five games. Begin the NBA Finals previews, we have what looks to be a great series ahead.
