Artest wanted in Finland?: With news of an extended lockout approaching, players such as Los Angeles Lakers forward Ron Artest are exploring different avenues of playing. A Finland newspaper reported on Monday how Artest has agreed to play multiple games in Finland. Though nothing is set in stone yet about an agreement.
Curry working out with Miami: Eddy Curry, a free agent center has been seen working out with Miami. Curry was waived by Minnesota on March 1st and hasn't had a team since as Miami and other teams passed on picking him up for the playoffs. By league rules, free agents cannot begin working out with teams until July 1st when a lockout is expected to be imposed.
Knicks and Kwame Brown?: Another team in need of a center is willing to sign a short-term fix. The New York Knicks like Ronny Turiaf, just not as a starting center, and are wanting to sign Kwame Brown to take over the spot. New York is hoping to make a run at Marc Gasol or Dwight Howard after the 2012 season when the two are on track to become free agents.
Blazers deal Ngombo: Portland as part of a draft day trade with Denver and Dallas received the 57th pick in the draft. They used this to select Tanguay Ngombo from Congo. Portland on Tuesday traded Ngombo to Minnesota in exchange for a future second round selection.
Trade talks dying?: Philadelphia and the Los Angeles Lakers have been discussing a possible swap of Lamar Odom for Andre Iguodala for about a week now. This has died down with Philadelphia worried Odom won't willingly play for them. Monta Ellis continues to be part of possible trade rumors to Philadelphia for Iguodala as well.
