NBA News 5/9, deadline for early entries into draft game five in the east

May 9th 2011 22:14
The list is finalized for those underclassmen who chose to leave college and jump into the NBA ranks. Some big names on the list include:

Brandon Knight- Kentucky

Kawhi Leonard- San Diego State

Shelvin Mack- Butler

Kemba Walker- Connecticut

Derrick Williams- Arizona

DeAndre Liggins- Kentucky

Klay Thompson- Washington State

Chris Singleton- Florida State

The Morris twins-Kansas

Isiah Thomas- Washington

Tristan Thompson- Texas

The NBA Draft takes place on June 23rd. The NBA Draft lottery is on May 17th, during the halftime of the conference final on that day.

One game is on the docket for Wednesday. The game five of the Atlanta and Chicago series. This is the make or break game for each team as the series is knotted up at 2 games apiece. Derrick Rose did all he could do on Sunday in game four but it was all for naught as the Hawks got their shooters going again with the win.

Carlos Boozer made an appearance in game four, going for 18 points. Luol Deng contributed with 13, but nobody else did anything for the Bulls, helping the Hawks get the win. Rose of course scored 34 for the Bulls. Kyle Korver went 1-8 from the field off the bench. Taj Gibson continued to continued to help the team when on the court, scoring nine points in 13 minutes. The Bulls need more help from the bench.

The inside duo of Josh Smith and Al Horford dominated the middle for the Hawks, combining for 44 points. Smith also had 16 rebounds and eight assists in the game. Can these guys keep up this production in game five? Will be integral for the Hawks to prevail. Easier said then done for the Hawks as Chicago will grab the series lead after a win.
Taj Gibson and the Bulls bench need to improve their production

Ashton Gibbs made the right decision to stay in school. He's a great scorer in college, but he's not talent enough in his all-around game and not athletic enough yet to go on to the NBA. He needs to develop more in college, and he finally got a sense of reason and stayed. I hope Gibbs can lead Pitt to the Final Four; a destination long awaited.
