On Tuesday the National Basketball Association (NBA) banned their players from using an athletic shoe. Athletic Propulsion Labs Concept 1 shoe which costs $300 boasts the ability to raise lift in your step. The NBA bans this shoe as it could bring unfair competive advantage to the athlete.
Rookies and other players expressed interest in the shoe according to Athletic Propulsion Labs co-owner Adam Goldston.
In other NBA news, Magic Johnson sold his part ownership stake in the Los Angeles Lakers, and word expressed interest in going back to Michigan. The 4.5 percent stake he had in the Lakers was purchased for 10 million in 1994. Johnson wants to be part owner of the Detriot Pistons, and to help with the teams re-emergence from their struggles of the past two years. Last year, Detriot won 27 games out of 82.
