Michigan State rallies to defeat Northwestern and other Saturday games

Kirk Cousins and the Michigan State Spartans are for real. After falling behind 17-0 early in the second quarter versus Northwestern, they perservered and won, 35-27. The seventh ranked Spartans avoided an upset and improved to 8-0 on the season, while the Wildcats drop to 5-2. Cousins threw for a season high 329 yards and three touchdowns. Mark Dantonio's team continues to be a never say die team, as last week they came twenty points behind to win.
The Texas Longhorns are terrible. A week after everything seemed to come together for the team, today it all came unglued. An ugly home loss to Iowa State sends the Longhorns to 4-3 on the season. A loss earlier on in the season versus UCLA looks even worse after Oregon's demolishing of the Bruins Thursday night, 60-13. Iowa State improved to 4-4 this year with the win in Austin, Texas.
LSU and Auburn are in for a thrilling finish. This after LSU answers an incredible 49-yard touchdown run by Auburn's quarterback Cam Newton in which he dodged yellow LSU jerseys until the endzone. The score is now 17-17 with twelve minutes remaining. Newton, the Heisman trophy frontrunner, has 86 yards passing and 139 yards rushing with two touchdowns on the ground.
What Missouri team will show up tonight at 5:00 when the team faces Oklahoma? The team that is in awe of the Sooners and gets blown out, as evidenced by 42-21 defeat in 2007, and 62-21 in 2008 or a team who can compete? My guess is something in between as the Sooners will ultimately win in a good, not great, game.
