Miami Heat guard Dwayne Wade knocked in the game-winner against the Bobcats on Wednesday night. Miami moved to 3-0 on the season with the 96-95 win over Charlotte.
Lebron James scored 35 for Miami. He has totaled 98 points in the Heat's three games this season. James also had six rebounds, seven assists, three steals and two blocks in the win. Charlotte forward Boris Diaw outplayed Chris Bosh in the game, scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds. Gerald Henderson led the team in scoring with 21 points.
Charlotte shot 60% for the first half in scoring 60 points and leading the Heat by 15 at halftime. Things changed in the second half for the Heat. Their half-court defense began shutting down the entry down low that worked so well in the first half. Miami outscored Charlotte, 24-10 in the third quarter, instantly getting back into the game.
The fourth quarter went back and forth, fueling fire for the wild final minute of play. Henderson knocked down a huge three-pointer pushing the Bobcats lead to one point with 12 seconds remaining, 95-94. Miami instead of having James take the final shot, knew along Wade was their guy. The guard from Marquette drove on Henderson, before lofting the ball to the net, and it promptly dropped through.
