Matt Schaub out for year

The Houston Texans are one of the hotter teams in the league, now leading the AFC East division at a record of 7-3. The team will now be without starting quarterback Matt Schaub for the rest of the year with a lisfranc injury in his right foot.
Schaub was injured on a quarterback sneak in the Texans 37-9 win over Tampa Bay on Sunday. The Texans have won four in a row and are in control of the division. The Texans are on a bye week and are expected to start Matt Leinart in next week's game against Jacksonville.
Houston is bringing in a specialist to check out Schaub and he is expected to fly next week to Charlotte for more examination. Schaub has thrown for 15 touchdowns and six interceptions on the year and has 2,479 passing yards on the season.
In a division with Indianapolis, Tennessee and Jacksonville it will be interesting to see if the Texans can still win this division. Will be between the Texans and Titans for sure.
Kansas City Chiefs starting quarterback Matt Cassel may miss the rest of the season with a hand injury. The Chiefs winners of the AFC West division last year are at 4-5 after a loss yesterday to Denver. Tyler Palko is expected to start for the Chiefs in the teams upcoming Monday night game versus New England. Already missing Jamaal Charles, Eric Berry, Brandon Siler and Tony Moeaki to season ending injuries, losing Cassel will hurt even more.
Cassel has 10 touchdowns and nine interceptions on the season. His quarterback rating is 20 points below what it was at this point of the season last year. He has a 76.6 rating thus far.
