Marques Colston injured in opener

New Orleans Saints top wide receiver Marques Colston will miss around four weeks after breaking his collarbone in the waning seconds of New Orleans, 42-34 loss against the Packers.

Colston is a sixth-year wide receiver from Hofstra. He has become Saints quarterback Drew Brees top receiver. Now the Saints will have to go without him. Colston made six catches for 81 yards in the opener. Colston had 1,023 receiving yards last year. This was his fourth season over the 1,000 yard mark since becoming a professional.
New Orleans will miss Marques Colston for a couple of weeks



The Saints may be without another key wide-receiver for their next game with the Bears. Lance Moore sat out the opener due to a sore right groin. His status is not clear at the moment.

Why do they tell us right or left? Groin = we know what you're talking about. Anyway, Colston and Moore are the guys Brees looks for when in doubt and an explosive offense can't afford to lose it's two best receivers. Moore should be a go next week, but Colston takes a dimension out of their offense and makes it a little tougher for them to put points on the board. For the Saints, that could mean the difference between a win and a loss with a subpar defense.
