Love Continues to Impress
November 15th 2010 01:52
Minnesota Timberwolves power forward, Kevin Love scored 22 points and pulled down 17 rebounds in Sundays loss to Atlanta, two days after going for 31 points and 31 rebounds. His performance on Friday was the first time since 1982 that a player went for 30-30 in a game. The great Moses Malone accomplished this feat.
Love originally from Lake Oswego, Oregon, spurned both Oregon major colleges and went to UCLA and played for one year before turning pro. Love dominated his competition both in the high school and college levels. He led the Lakers to Oregon championship three years in a row, and UCLA to a final four appearance.
Love is now averaging 18 points and 14 rebounds a game in the early season. Minnesota is 3-8 on the season.
