The New Orleans Hornets upended the New York Knicks, 89-85, ending the team from the big apple's winning streak. The Hornets improved to 7-23 with the surprising victory. Jeremy Lin finished with 26 points and five assists in the loss.
New York fell to 15-16 this year.
Lin also committed nine costly turnovers, aiding the Hornets cause. Amare Stoudemire returned from his absence, him and Lin worked well off and on, though you could tell Lin was forcing things. The Knicks also struggled from the three point line, connecting on four of 24 attempts. The Hornets were just the opposite, connecting on seven of 12 attempts from behind the three-point line.
Trevor Ariza led the Hornets with 25 points, and guard Marco Belinelli added 17 points.
New York plays Dallas tomorrow, in a game that will be featured on ABC.
