Joakhim Noah set to play for Team France

Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah will play for France in next month's European Championships. France opens play against Latvia on August 31st. The tournament runs until September 18th. Noah owns France and American citizenship. His father Yannick, was a French professional tennis player.
Noah played just 48 games last season for Chicago due to numerous injuries. He averaged 12 points and 10 rebounds per game for the Bulls who won 62 games on the year. He is a four year veteran in the league after being drafted ninth in 2007 by Chicago. Noah won two NCAA tournament championships with Florida before being drafted.
He joins fellow teammates Luol Deng, Omar Asik and Nikola Mirotic in the Championships. Lithuania hosts the tournament which features 24 of European's best countries for basketball.
