The Kansas City Chiefs lost 48-3 to Detroit on Sunday morning. The visiting Chiefs also lost starting running back Jamaal Charles for the rest of the season. Charles tore his acl in his left knee. Charles will have a mri on Monday, for the team to confirm this diagnosis.
Charles rushed for 1,467 yards last season for Kansas City, during their 10-6 run that included hosting Baltimore in the wildcard playoffs. During the game Sunday, Charles lunged for the first down mark, and got pushed out by Lions cornerback Chris Hudson. Charles left the game right away and didn't return.
Kansas City is 0-2 after the 45-point loss to Detroit. They lost 41-7 to Buffalo last week.
We had the first overtime game of the season in the late afternoon game between the San Fransisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys pulled out the win, rallying from ten points behind to win 27-24. Tony Romo passed for 345 yards in Dallas's win.
Houston, Green Bay, New England, Detroit, Buffalo, Washington, and the New York Jets all remained undefeated after two games. Philadelphia and Atlanta are fighting it out right now in the first quarter. The Eagles are shooting to stay unbeaten and send the Falcons to their second straight loss.
