The Atlanta Hawks just a week ago handed Miami their first loss of the season. On Saturday night, Atlanta ended Chicago's six-game winning streak, handing the Bulls their second loss of the year, winning the game, 109-94.
Chicago(7-2) just beat Atlanta, 76-74 on Tuesday night, after falling behind by 19 points. This time the outcome was far different. Atlanta held last season's MVP Derrick Rose to eight points in the win on Saturday. Josh Smith led the Hawks with 25 points, Vladamir Radmonovic and Joe Johnson added 17. John Lucas III led Chicago with 16 points. Kyle Korver added 13 points.
The game was full of runs, Atlanta got out to a hot start, jumping out to a 17-point lead only to let Chicago within two points in the early moments of the second quarter. Then Chicago went ice cold once again, falling behind by 18 points at halftime thanks to a 18-2 run ending the half. The cold shooting continued in the third for Chicago, while Atlanta pushed the lead to 28 points at 77-49. Instead of risking injury, the Bulls decided to rest their starters for the final quarter.
NBA action returns today with a handful of games. Two games to watch tonight include: San Antonio at Oklahoma City and Memphis traveling to LA Lakers.
