Hank Williams Jr. out at Monday Night Football
October 7th 2011 03:22
Watching Monday night football with my dad, every week was one thing I looked forward too growing up. Country music icon Hank Williams Jr. did is part each Monday, introducing the analysts and the two teams. He has done this same deed every week until this past Monday. The words, "Are you ready for some football", play in my head right now as I write this.
It seems Williams Jr. had to open his mouth and say something very unprofessional. He compared German Dictator Adolf Hitler to our American President Barrack Obama. I am not going to say the whole comments as most people already know what he said.
Williams Jr. no matter how crummy the two teams were who met on Monday night always had a way of making the viewer want to watch the game. This will be missed, as he was one of a kind when doing the introduction to Monday night football. Faith Hill on Sunday night football also does a great job, here's to hope she doesn't put her foot in her mouth like Williams Jr. Now where does ESPN go after losing Williams Jr? Hard to say who will do the beginnings of the weekly showcase game. I do hope the network doesn't ask Justin Bieber or Kid Rock to do the deed.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is expected to start on Sunday for the team in their game against Tennessee. Roethlisberger injured his left foot in last week's loss to Houston. X-rays were inconclusive, thus the big man from Miami of Ohio will start for the Steelers.
Miami Dolphins starting quarterback Chad Henne is out for the year after suffering a shoulder injury. The Dolphins signed Sage Rosenfels on Thursday to take Henne's spot on the roster. Thus Miami head coach Tony Sparano's job is even more in jeopardy. Would be nice for Sparano to at least get a few more games to see if he can turn this around. The Dolphins are off this week and face the NY Jets next Monday.
