Giants coasting to World Series title
October 30th 2010 02:28
After last nights, 9-0 demolishing of the Texas Rangers, San Fransisco is sitting pretty. Thursdays win was the largest shutout in 25 years in the series. Coupled with Wednesdays win of 11-7, the Giants have rattled off 20 runs in two games. Is their offense really clicking or have the Rangers hit rock bottom with their pitching? Maybe a little of both.
Texas pitchers held the vaunted New York Yankees attack to only 19 runs in their six game championship series. San Fransisco has already jumped that. Changing fields could help the Rangers pitching and batting for that matter.
The Giants offense again was held in check versus the Philadelphia Phillies pitchers in their championship series. Only 19 runs scored for them won the series. Interesting that they have surpassed this total in two games.
Now onto Arlington where the Rangers will have a chance to rebound from this hole. Jesus Sanchez will face off against Chad Lewis in the pitching battle. Look for the Rangers to come out strong Saturday and get a win.
