Game six of Memphis and Oklahoma City
May 13th 2011 02:34
After the Thunder once again grabbed control of the series, we shift back to Memphis where up until Monday's three overtime classic, the Grizzlies were unbeaten in the playoffs. Had Mike Conley or O.J. Mayo not fouled out then who knows, this series could be over with Memphis the victor. Instead the Thunder grabbed the momentum and had an easy game five victory pushing them to the lead.
Mr Double- Double did not make the trip back to Oklahoma City. Zach Randolph who averages at least ten points and ten rebounds, only got nine points and seven boards. In fact the only Grizzly in double figures scoring was Marc Gasol who went for 15 points. The Grizzlies shot only 35% for the game, missing 50 out of 78 shots in compling 72 points. A terrible game in which fatigue may of played a part from the game four's extended overtime play. Now is the Grizzlies chance to redeem themselves in front of their home fans.
The Thunder had two big bright spots with Kevin Durant and not Russell Westbrook but Daquean Cook off the bench. Cook connected on six of seven field goals going for 18 points. Durant led the team with 19 points. The Thunder starters didn't need to play most of the fourth quarter as they had such a large lead.
What Memphis team will we see tomorrow? The one who pushed the Thunder to the brink of elimination in game four but ran into a wall of fouls or the team who scored just 72 points? I am voting for the Grizzlies to pull this game out and finally we will have our first game seven of the 2011 Playoffs.
