Down to One Unbeaten

Following the Los Angeles Lakers loss last night versus the Denver Nuggets, only one team remains without a blemish in the NBA. A very unlikely team considering their record from last year and overall team talent level. Off-season turmoil could of brought the team down in addition but didn't with their star player wanting out. Who is is this team? The New Orleans Hornets.
When looking at the Hornets roster from last year against this years, you can see a theme of change. Gone are Morris Petersen, James Posey, Darren Collison, and Julian Wright. Newcomers include, Trevor Ariza, Jerryd Bayless, Marco Belinelli, and a couple of rookies. All this with a rookie coach leading the way in Monty Williams, formerly an assistant with the Portland Trailblazers. Ariza, Bayless, and Belinelli are all playing important roles for the team, taking the spotlight off star player Chris Paul who wanted out from the team. Instead of finding a suitable taker, the Hornets decided to keep him and now the team sits as the lone unbeaten.
New Orleans is off till tomorrow night when they play the Blazers who visit the city. Portland will get a shot to knock the Hornets off this pedestal.
