Down to 4 in NFL Playoffs

Next week's conference championship games are set after the NY Giants eliminated last season's Super Bowl champs Green Bay and Baltimore beat Houston today.
Sunday's action kicks off with New England hosting Baltimore in a game of conflicting interests. The Patriots aren't known for their defense, instead a great passing attack led by Tom Brady, which scores enough points to win games. Baltimore is ranked third in the league in defense, and they will come after Brady with all kinds of blitzes. Expect a great game, the key to the game is what kind of a performance will we see out of Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco? Can he do enough to keep the Ravens close to New England? And for the Patriots, will they get a running game established to help Brady out?
Then in the NFC title game, San Francisco hosts New York. This game is a rematch of a game played on Nov. 13th that saw the 49ers win 27-20. Eli Manning just topped 300 yards in this game, throwing for two touchdowns and two interceptions. Both teams made the other one dimensional on offense, taking away the running games. Alex Smith had an okay day, passing for 242 yards, and one touchdown. Placekicker David Akers was the MVP of the day, kicking in four field goals for the 49ers. The Giants have improved quite a bit since this day on both sides of the ball, adding further intrigue to this game. New York knocked off Green Bay, and now the 49ers? Getting revenge on two losses during the regular season? Important for the 49ers, is creating a running game. Smith can't win the game on his own against this Giants defense. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers attempted to do this today, and failed. Smith is not the same caliber quarterback, that Rodgers is.
The action starts next Sunday around noon, pacific time.
