DeSean Jackson to report to Eagles camp Monday
August 7th 2011 03:10
After 11 days of holding out, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson is set to report to training camp. Jackson, was holding out in an attempt to get a better contract. He is in the final year of a rookie contract, paying him $565,000 dollars.
Philadelphia wants to talk extension with their two-time pro-bowler, but only once he reports to camp. Jackson is one of the most electrifying players in the NFL right now. He deserves a better contract, one that is surely going to come his way soon. Last year he had 47 catches for 1,056 yards and six touchdowns. His 22.5 yards per reception was number one in the league.
He and Michael Vick put on a show on Monday, November 15th of last year against the Washington Redskins. Jackson scored first for the Eagles during their 59-28 win over the Redskins on a 88-yard touchdown. The former University of California star ran for most of those 88 yards after catching the football threw by Vick. He is a threat to score with the football in any given moment.
