Thanks to the Oakland Raiders getting creamed by Miami, 34-14, Denver is suddenly in a tie for first place in the AFC West division. The Broncos used a little more of the Tim Tebow magic en route to their seventh win on the year.
Denver thanks to a late field goal from Matt Prater, beat Minnesota, 35-32. The Broncos have now won five straight games. Tebow passed for 202 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. Willis McGahee rushed for 111 yards aiding the Broncos offensive output. Minnesota rookie quarterback Christian Ponder passed for 381 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in the loss. Vikings receiver Percy Harvin stepped up and had a great game. Harvin made eight catches for 156 yards and two touchdowns.
The Broncos don't stop, even when all signs pointed to the Vikings getting the win, their third on the season. Andre Goodman picked off the second of two interceptions from Ponder, leading to the final field goal from Prater. Minnesota had 489 total yards to 336 from Denver. The Broncos just keep winning, ugly or not, they find ways to come out on top in the end.
In a game which was supposed to be one of the best of the week, Pittsburgh stomped Cincinnati, 35-7. The win moved the Steelers to 9-3 on the year, and dropped the Bengals to 7-5. This game was essentially over after the first quarter, thanks to turnovers from the Bengals creating easy touchdowns for Pittsburgh. Two Rashard Mendenhall touchdowns in the first five minutes of the game, pushed the Steelers lead to 14-0. Ben Roethlisberger and Mike Wallace connected on another touchdown later in the quarter. After the Bengals got on the scoreboard, Pittsburgh scored on a 60-yard punt return from Antonio Brown. When the smoke cleared, Pittsburgh was ahead, 28-7 at halftime.
Roethlisberger for the game passed for 176 yards, while Andy Dalton at Cincinnati had just 135 yards. Pittsburgh with the win moved a half-game ahead of Baltimore who is currently ahead of Cleveland by two touchdowns late in the game.
